Deputy Shown Kicking Teen

A video of a deputy attacking a suspect is currently blazing across the internet. This is a link to the video and a critical analysis of it. It seems to me there is quite a bit wrong here.

It opens with the girl, all one hundred ten pounds of her, entering the cell and turning back to kick a shoe out of the door. The shoe is a black canvas sneaker. Immediately thereafter, the deputy flies into the cell and attacks the girl with kicks and punches. The girl falls to the floor face down and another deputy enters the room to hold the girl down and handcuff her while the first deputy continues to punch the girl in the head.

Once handcuffed, the second deputy removes her other shoe while the first deputy drags the girl to her feet by her hair. Then the girl is frog marched from the room. A few seconds pass and the second deputy returns to the room to examine the floor. He picks up two small objects and leaves. There is no audio.

What is wrong with this video clip? The viewer's first reaction is one of outrage and fear. However, consider, the girl, obviously a minor, is being escorted into a solitary space with a full door, by a male deputy. Where does a functional police force not have female officers on duty? Why is the girl in a secured room as opposed to a barred cell? Why is the second deputy not restraining the first? Why is there no, let me repeat that, no defensive action on the part of the girl? She never once tries to protect her stomach, face, or head. Why does the second deputy allow the first deputy to drag the girl from the ground by her hair? What does he pick up when he comes back into the room?

While this may indeed be a true accounting of a real life event, it would not surprise me to learn that it is a hoax.
